Abby Allain Wins Coveted Fruge Award

Level 7 Flair, Abby Allain, hit four for four and captured the coveted Fruge Award which is a scholarship program that helps pay expenses for Regional competitors.  This award is given to the top scoring gymnast at State Championships.  Allain accomplished this in style scoring a huge 39.05 all-around score.  This places her as one of the top Level 7 gymnasts in the country.

Allain will compete for Louisiana in the 2012 Region 8 Regional Championships the weekend of April 19-22 in Kissimmee, Florida.

Preschool Summer Jamboree!!

 

The TINY TUMBLERS PRESCHOOL presents the "SUMMER JAMBOREE."  There are three sessions available. Registration is currently underway.  Hurry!! Spots are filling up quickly!!

WHO: Children ages 3 1/2 - 7. Must be 3 years old by January 1, 2012 and POTTY trained.

WHAT: Two week summer camps (We do not split sessions)

WHEN: Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM-1:00 PM

SESSION 1 June 4 - June 15 
SESSION 2 June 18 - July 29 
SESSION 3 July 9 - July 20

WHERE: North Shore Gymnastics!!!

COST: $255 for a two-week session plus a $50 nonrefundable registration fee per session.  One half of the total tuition plus any registration fees that apply is required in order to hold a spot along with a completed and signed "Camper Information and Membership" form. ALL remaining tuition is due by May 19th! Please make check payable to North Shore Gymnastics.  If canceled by May 19th, the tuition is refundable less the registration fee.  After this time, the total fee is nonrefundable.  You should expect a letter in the mail by May 1st.  The t-shirts will be ready in the pro-shop approximately 2 weeks prior to Session 1.  In case of absences, your child will be allowed to make up in two gymnastics classes for each day missed by scheduling a make-up with the pro shop staff.  These make-ups will not be carried over into the Fall Session.  You must do your make-ups during the summer.  Enrollment includes a camp T-shirt, snacks and supplies. Campers should bring their own lunch, drink, labeled tote bag, spare clothes and slip-on shoes.

REGISTRATION BEGINS MONDAY, MARCH 6 FOR ALL TINY TUMBLERS PRESCHOOL STUDENTS, MARCH 7 FOR CURRENTLY ENROLLED GYMNASTS AND MARCH 8 FOR ALL OTHERS

Jump into our summer fun!!! 

There will be lots of music, art, singing, story time, puppetry, computer and, of course.....GYMNASTICS!!...both instructional and supervised free play!

Qualifying to the Men's Region 3 Regional Gymnastics Championship

Seven of the North Shore Gymnastics Men's Team will travel to Norman, Oklahoma on the weekend of April 20th to compete in the Junior Olympic Region 3 Men's Regional Gymnastics Championships.  This competition will be hosted by Bart Connor Gymnastics and will be held at the Norman Optimist Club.  Competitors are made up from the top boys from Oklahoma, Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, Missouri and Kansas who obtained the necessary scores.  Level 10s can qualify to National competition.  The other levels vie for coveted spots on the Region 3 Teams.

The North Shore Gymnastics Men's team captured 29 State Championship titles at the State Championships which were held March 17th in Baton Rouge.

All Stars Shine At State

In order to earn the honor of representing Louisiana at the Region 8 XCel Optional Championships, a gymnast had to finish in the top six of each of the three optional levels.  The North Shore All Stars won eight of the possible 18 spots.

XCel Silver was led by top scoring Macy Mentz and she was joined by her teammates, Alexandria  Duran, Lindsay Cooper and Rachel Prescott.  Therese Ross captured the top spot in XCel Gold and, in the highest optional level, XCel Platinum, the All Stars took three spots with Alex Eschete, Taylor James and Rachel Noto.

This competition will be held in Jackson, MS the weekend of April 27.
